Best Places to Visit if you Believe in Aliens
If you believe in extraterrestrial life, or if you’re a diehard fan of “The X-Files,” there’s a sizable community of believers on this planet. If you believe there is life out there, take a trip to these UFO-friendly destinations, which range from the most outlandish tourist traps to extraterrestrial sightseeing expeditions.
If you believe in aliens, you should go to these places.
Area 51, Nevada
The government once denied the existence of Area 51, so who knows what they’re still denying. Because entry to America’s top-secret military facility is impossible without a badge, their tour is the next best thing.
It’s a celebration of theories with stops at the famous Little A’le’ Inn, the mutant Joshua Tree Forest featured in “Men in Black,” and the location of the allegedly abducted black mailbox. You might even see strange lights in the sky, which are common in those areas.
Roswell, New Mexico
Roswell, New Mexico, location of the 1947 UFO crash, is a true believer’s dream. Despite the fact that the government declassified the air force research that was responsible for the debris crash in 1994, skeptics remain skeptical of Project Mogul’s explanation.
The town has embraced its alien-friendly reputation, with alien-themed restaurants and shops, such as this spaceship-shaped McDonald’s, an interactive spacewalk, and the International UFO Museum and Research Center, a non-profit museum dedicated to solving the 1947 crash and other unexplained phenomena.
Bowman, South Carolina
Jody Pendarvis began constructing a massive saucer in his backyard in 1994 to welcome any extraterrestrial visitors. The 46-foot-wide sculpture is only held together by eight screws and is not for the faint of heart.
The larger saucer on the bottom is to welcome the aliens, and the smaller one on top is for Pendarvis to take off with them when they’re ready. Pendarvis will gladly give you a tour for a small donation during the summer months, from 10 a.m. to noon.
UFO sighting tours, Chile
With their UFO spotting trip, they can tour a 19-mile stretch of land that loops through the Andes. “Sightings of shining spheres going into the water and into wooded zones have been made without any human explanation,” said Rodrigo Fuenzalida, president of the Chilean Grouping for UFO Research (AION).
The “200 perfectly sliced volcanic rocks built by ancient civilizations,” according to locals, are a perfect landing pad for flying sauces.
Kecksburg, Pennsylvania
A 15-foot-long copper-colored object covered in Egyptian-looking hieroglyphics fell to Earth in a fiery blaze in rural Kecksburg forests on December 9, 1965. The US military arrived within hours and took the object, and stories circulated about army personnel asking people to forget what they saw, shrouding the town in mystery. In 1990, the “Unsolved Mysteries” television crew visited the town and built a replica of the “space acorn,” as it is now affectionately known, which was left in Kecksburg to become a tourist attraction.
Sedona, Arizona
UFO tours in this alien-infested landscape begin an hour after sunset, and the tour company’s use of 3rd generation military night vision goggles ensures you’ll see “UFO activity” in the sky and near the mountains.
Even if you don’t, they have some of the clearest night skies in North America for stargazing.
AlienCon
The Baltimore convention for fans of History’s “Ancient Aliens” drew 15,000 people this year. Three days of guest appearances, showcases, and lectures, with an emphasis on cosplay.
People’s favorite alien theories differed, according to event photographer Kellyann Petry, but there were no skeptics who doubted that aliens had visited Earth at some point.
Lincoln, New Hampshire
According to legend, on September 19, 1961, Barney and Betty Hill were driving home from a vacation in Montreal, Canada, when they noticed a bright star moving in the sky just south of Lancaster.
When the light changed on Route 3 in Lincoln, they came to a halt. When they arrived home, their watches were broken, their clothes were ripped, and they had no recollection of the previous 35 miles. A hypnotherapist assisted them in regaining memories of large-eyed grey beings who probed and examined them. The Lincoln gas station on Route 3 across from the alleged sighting commemorates the encounter with an alien mural, a souvenir section, a 10-minute video behind the cash register, and, of course, the restroom. It’s covered in documented UFO sightings, has a large green alien, and plays science fiction film soundtracks. There’s a new chalkboard where customers can write about their own encounters with another kind, as well as a second bathroom covered in newspaper clippings from the 1961 encounter.
New Jersey Turnpike
On the New Jersey Turnpike, an alleged UFO sighting occurred.
On July 14, 2001, motorists stopped to witness “mysterious orange and yellow lights in a V formation” above the Arthur Kill Waterway between Staten Island, New York, and Carteret, New Jersey, according to Latest UFO Sighting. The lights were said to have lasted about 15 minutes, shortly after midnight. Many people in the area noticed them, including Carteret Police Department Lt. Daniel Tarrant.
Despite the fact that air traffic controllers denied seeing the lights, independent groups claimed that radar data corroborated the UFO sightings.
