Stunning places on Earth
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,” as the saying goes. We are aware of the situation. The idea is that, despite its numerous challenges, Earth is a lovely place. Some of you may undoubtedly disagree with some of our choices, but we believe the following locations are distinct enough to show the diversity of our magnificent planet. Here are the most gorgeous spots on the planet, without further ado.
The Great Ocean Road, Australia
The most scenic roadway in Australia is a well-known route that has been included in numerous travel publications and brochures. It is surrounded on one side by the churning Southern Ocean, and it offers passengers spectacular beachfront views of the water as it runs over 300 kilometers, with gushing waterfalls, majestic cliffs, lush, verdant rainforests, and sandy beaches. It is on the country’s National Heritage List because it was built by the military during World War One and contains so many natural landmarks. The 12 Apostles sea stacks are a must-see.
Jokulsarlon, Iceland
“Jökulsárlón” means “glacial river lagoon” in Icelandic. This lagoon is 18 square kilometers in size. It is the deepest lake in Iceland, with a depth of 248 meters.
It is also Iceland’s largest. Veteran visitors agree that the color of the water is the first thing that strikes you about this glacial lagoon. It has a crystalline look to it, which makes it one-of-a-kind and almost hypnotic. Jökulsárlón, which formed between 1934 and 1935, is part of Vatnajökull National Park, which is located near the city of Hofn.
Milford Sound, New Zealand
Milford Sound is a beautiful fjord on New Zealand’s South Island’s southwest coast. It is located 96 kilometers northwest of Queenstown, New Zealand, among waterfalls and lush forests. Some believe it’s the best portion of Fiordland National Park, New Zealand’s largest national park.
Views of adjacent mountains, such as Mitre Peak, which dominates the stunning shoreline, are well worth seeing. Rainy days are even more enjoyable here, as they result in a lot of beautiful, albeit temporary, waterfalls cascading down the massive mountain sides.
Isle Of Skye, Scotland
The Isle of Skye is the northernmost and largest of the Inner Hebrides, a group of islands off Scotland’s west coast. It is more than 80 kilometers long. It has a dramatic coastline, unique cliffs, and lighthouses. Visit Kyleakin, Elgol, Carbost, Broadford, and Armadale.
You may see red deer, dolphins, otters, seals, and even whales here. Visit the mainland via the bridge from Portree and sample some suds at Seumas’ country pub, which serves 400 Scottish malts.
Santorini, Greece
This lovely Greek island in the sparkling southern Aegean Sea is a favorite of both travelers and travel writers. It’s both lovely and romantic. It’s a fantastic island getaway for couples.
Relax on the black sand beaches, dine on great Greek delicacies, and stroll among the iconic, bright, white-washed, blue-capped buildings that appear to be perched precariously on the rough cliffs overlooking the brilliant blue-green water. Visit the village of Fira and take a dip in the local hot springs.
Huashan, China
The name “Huashan” means “magnificent mountain” in Mandarin. Huashan is a massive mountain located in Shaanxi province, 120 kilometers from Xi’an, near the well-known city of Huayin.
This mountain is mostly made of Mesozoic-era granite that was thrust upwards over millions of years by geological faulting. It consists of five distinct peaks. South Peak, at 2.155 meters, is the highest point. Taoists regard it as one of the most sacred mountains in China. The oldest temple in the area dates from the second century B.C.
The Aleutian Islands, USA and Russia
This island chain located in the north Pacific Ocean is cold, foggy, wet, and windswept. While it may not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking of beautiful places, it is undeniably unique. These islands have their own mystical charm, according to travel writers.
There are over 70 islands in this area. 14 of them are volcanic in nature. The Aleutians are a haven for marine life as well as seabirds. They are also a wild wonderland of spectacular snow-capped peaks and (some active) volcanoes set against a vast deep blue ocean.
Seychelles
Seychelles is a picture-perfect archipelago of 115 individual islands located approximately 1,610 kilometers off the coast of Kenya. It is a popular tourist destination with a variety of marine parks and nature preserves.
Powdery sand beaches, flourishing coral, UNESCO-designated forests, impressive, massive boulders, and more can be found here. Indeed, several of these islands are situated in the heart of some of the world’s richest fishing regions. As a result, they are popular among both scuba divers and fishermen.
Machu Picchu, Peru
You will discover the ancient city of Machu Picchu high in the mystic mountains of Peru, surrounded by wispy clouds. While this iconic travel destination is on many people’s bucket lists, you should be aware that it is difficult for some people to explore for the reasons previously stated.
If you’re in good shape, however, take the four-day hiking trip through the exotic Andes mountains past deserted villages on the vegetation-clad Andean slopes to this UNESCO World Heritage Site to see the palaces, residences, and temples here.
Prague, Czech Republic
Prague is the Czech Republic’s capital and home to 1.3 million people. Because of its bridges, cathedrals, castles, medieval squares, and Baroque and Gothic architecture, it is also known as the “City of a Hundred Spires.” Prague Castle is arguably the most beautiful of the city’s structures. It was built in the 800s and expanded over the years. It is now the presidential residence of the Czech Republic. Make time to see the Prague Astronomical Clock as well.
