Passenger Tried to Smuggle 12,000 Fentanyl Pills Through LAX

When a passenger attempted to board a plane, 12,000 fentanyl pills were discovered. Authorities at LAX had different plans. The pills were discovered at LAX. Hidden in candy boxes and made in bright colors to look like actual candy. According to Los Angeles County Sheriff officials, the passenger attempted to pass through airport security with snacks and candy bags around 7:30 a.m.

‘However, fentanyl pills were discovered inside the SweeTARTS, Skittles, and Whoppers candy boxes,’ the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Close to 12,000 pills were seized by sheriff’s detectives and the DEA. The passenger fled the scene and is now being investigated as a major trafficker. Authorities are aware of the alleged identity but have not disclosed it to the public.

Fentanyl is being trafficked in candy wrappers and rainbow colors, according to authorities at all major airports.

‘With Halloween approaching, parents should ensure that they are checking their children’s candy and not allowing them to eat anything until it has been inspected by them,’ said the sheriff’s department.

Parents should also be cautious and avoid touching any candy that may contain drugs. You must immediately notify the authorities.

Since February 2022, the DEA has been aware of this rainbow-colored Fentanyl, which has now been seized in 21 states across the country.
