Unfortunately if you haven’t been immunized against Covid-19, your vacation options are limited.

Some places will simply not allow you to visit, whereas others may require you to be fully vaccinated in order to step off the plane and roam freely without a lengthy quarantine period.

So, as an unjabbed British citizen, where can you go? And what will be expected of you?

What documentation will you need to travel without vaccinations?

Occasionally, nothing. For instance, there are no Covid limitations on travel to Iceland.

For entry, the majority of nations demand verification of a negative Covid test result, frequently (but not always) by a PCR test (performed within 72 hours) or an antigen test (taken within 24 hours).

While Nepal requires those who are unvaccinated to seek for a special visa, other nations like Costa Rica may need them to get special insurance before traveling there.

Sri Lanka tests visitors before allowing them entry; but, once there, they must stay in a tourism bio bubble.

If you can demonstrate through the NHS Covid Pass that you have recovered from Covid within a specific amount of time, some places won’t require a test.

Unless they can offer the requisite evidence to indicate they’ve recently recovered from Covid, the Czech Republic and Spain will not usually permit someone who is not immunized in for tourism.

Spain had originally intended to permit unvaccinated visitors from the UK to enter the country, but this decision has since been changed. The sole exception to the ban is for 12- to 17-year-olds who can provide proof of a negative PCR test conducted no more than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Simply put, check the FCO website for the precise entry criteria for your preferred location before you book and once again before you depart. The restrictions differ for each country.

It is advisable to also check the nation’s official government website.
