Autumn is a beautiful season when forests are covered in colorful foliage. Meanwhile, many festivals are held during this time. Aside from harvest celebrations, many other artistic, fun, and exotic festivals are held all over the world. This year, consider these ten options.
The Great Jack’O Lantern Blaze, Sleepy Hollow, New York, USA
Carved pumpkins are the Halloween symbol. However, creative individuals have taken this amusing tradition a step further by creating amazing sculptures made entirely of pumpkins. The exhibition this year includes 4000 carved and illuminated pumpkins. Scary snakes, a massive spider web, an undersea aquarium, super-sized dinosaurs, pirates, ghosts, and other eerie characters make this a one-of-a-kind site!
The event will run from October to mid-November.
International White Truffle Fair, Italy
Truffle is the world’s rarest and thus most expensive delicacy! The world’s best chefs gather to prepare dishes with this edible marvel. Aside from that, an auction is held, with prices reaching $1,200 per pound! However, the menu also includes dishes from the local cuisine, such as roast pork, salami, polenta, and many others.
Yi Peng Lantern Festival, Thailand
By sending lanterns to Buddha, the Buddhist celebration is meant to cleanse the spirit of bad luck. People release lanterns into the sky and decorate their homes with flowers and candles, creating a festive atmosphere. Participants also get to see the parade, in which dancers dressed in traditional costumes send their love to the deity. The festival is the most exciting in Chiang Mai, Thailand’s northernmost city.
The festival is held throughout the country during the full moon in the second half of November.

Chocolate haute couture debuts in the fashion capital! The festival bills itself as “the world’s largest chocolate and cocoa event.” Over 220 chocolatiers, pastry chefs, and confectioners invite you to sample their delicacies. There are also various shows and workshops, but the most exciting must be the fashion show, in which clothes are made of chocolate!
From October 28 to November 1, you can attend the sweet festival.
Café Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival, Hungary
It has nothing to do with coffee and was formerly known as the Budapest Autumn Festival! Guests can explore the worlds of music, drama, dance, art exhibitions, poetry, literature, design, and contemporary circus at this contemporary art feast. The venues in and around Budapest welcome the curious and cultured.

Oktoberfest, Munich, Germany
The festival, which has been held since 1810, has become an important part of Bavarian culture. The celebration of Prince Ludwig’s wedding evolved into the world’s largest beer festival. Today, people from all over the world gather to drink German bear, which the Germans are very proud of, and get completely wasted.
The festival will be held this year from September 17 to October 3.
London to Brighton Veteran Car Run, England
The world’s longest-running motoring event departs from vibrant London and heads to Brighton, a popular coastal destination. The most important and overall entertaining aspect of the festival is that the participants arrive in vintage cars! Even if you are not a car enthusiast, you will find this amusing and historic.
